12+ years expSears is seeking a Head of Technology Products to oversee the Home Services Engineering technical strategy and delivery. This role will lead teams in developing new technology solutions and improving key software applications to meet business needs.

Responsibilities
Directs and assures the success of key Home Services Technology processes and activities
Ensures successful delivery of solutions
Collaborates with business leaders and consistently and effectively communicating across the organization and up the leadership chain
Drives initiatives for operational improvement
Establishes and monitors metrics of technical and business importance generated within assigned system and/or functional area
Partners with the business to define vision and road map direction for functional areas and teams, to benefit the company (i.e. increased revenue or reduced costs). Works with senior leadership to define and justify benefits
Oversees and directs the design of new applications and technology or influences the design efforts of other leaders through collaboration and participation in the discovery, documentation and validation of designs before and during software development
Directs end-to-end development of software and solutions for ecommerce applications and related technologies
Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (preferably a graduate degree), a related technical or scientific field, or equivalent experience
Solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures and complexity theory. Solid knowledge on OO design
12+ years experience in-industry, 7+ years managing individual contributors, 4 years managing other managers
Experience managing outsourced teams in a software development projects
Hands on experience in managing vendor performance management processes for a large software development organization
Experience with agile/scrum based software development process
Working knowledge or software development and release cycle planning
Ability to establish and nurture positive relationships with business sponsors and delivery teams
Ability to adapt, lead, change and coach others in the acceptance and support of vendor management processes
Ability to motivate employees through effective communication
Ability to reconcile between long-term goals and short-term actions
Ability to take ownership and delivery responsibility for special projects and company initiatives
Strong communication skills. Must be able to present information on projects, initiatives or other subjects to peers, teams and upper management
Strong leadership skills to educate the business and technical community on Vendor Performance management processes and areas of expertise
Bachelors Degree
Over 10 years of related experience
Valid Driver License for the State of employment
Up to 25% travel
16 years of age or older
Preferred
Master's degree in Computer Science, a related technical or scientific field
Experience in the retail industry
