Responsibilities
Answer inbound calls from prospective, current, and former employees across the enterprise for up to 5 hours per day
Maintain working knowledge of HR services and respond to or appropriately route employee inquiries related to HR programs, processes, procedures, and communications
Analyze and interpret basic issues, selecting appropriate methods, processes, or tools to meet needs efficiently and accurately
Resolve or coordinate resolution of basic operational and processing issues, inquiries, and complaints
Provide guidance to internal and external customers regarding shared services center (SSC) processes and HR services
Perform job functions in accordance with defined service level agreements (SLAs)
Ensure compliance with all HR-related policies, practices, and procedures
Support ongoing quality control checks to ensure accuracy and efficiency of processes and procedures
Conduct research to support process improvements and provide findings to senior staff and leadership as directed
Qualification
Required
2-7 years of experience in customer service, shared services, HR operations, or a related environment
Strong customer service orientation and relationship management skills
Experience demonstrating the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, show initiative, and manage multiple priorities, preferably in an HR or Shared Services environment
Familiarity with common Human Resources issues, services, and systems
Ability to follow, interpret, and apply data, instructions, guidelines, procedures, practices, and regulations
Proficiency with databases and presentation software
Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Previous call center experience
Exposure to human capital management (HCM) systems
Familiarity with financial services or enterprise HR policies, programs, and procedures
