Project Engineer - Control Systems

They are seeking a Project Engineer – Control Systems to drive the design, analysis, and support of control systems for new and existing products, influencing product performance and technological advancement within the organization.

Responsibilities

Manage control system projects from requirements analysis through system integration, validation, and production release
Lead cross-functional product development teams, ensuring alignment on timelines, cost targets, and technical specifications
Oversee the design and review of electronic control hardware, including schematics and PCB layouts
Coordinate hardware and software development activities across internal teams and external partners
Develop, maintain, and update control system documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and compliance records
Provide technical authority on product application issues, supporting root-cause analysis and customer-facing investigations
Remain informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new methodologies to enhance product performance and innovation

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
3+ years of experience in embedded control system development, ideally within the vehicle or vessel powertrain industry
Advanced knowledge of embedded systems and programming languages (e.g., Embedded C, C#, VB.Net)
Proficiency with electronics design tools (e.g., Altium Designer), simulation environments (LabView®, Matlab®), and version control systems
Strong project management skills and familiarity with PLM systems
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
Valid passport required
