Responsibilities

Monitor, interpret and assess European product safety regulations (e.g., EU Product Rules, ESPR, CE marking) and other applicable global regulatory requirements for applicability and impact to RTX products and operations
Translate complex regulatory requirements into practical internal policies, procedures and governance processes to ensure sustained compliance across the organization
Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to leadership on product safety regulatory risk, compliance status and emerging regulatory trends that could potentially impact program execution
Facilitate cross-functional alignment, achieving regulatory compliance, balancing with business and operational considerations
Build strong internal networks and partnerships to drive accountability, consistency and timely execution of safety requirements
Support RLPM and program readiness activities including the development of internal assessments and processes across all phases of program lifecycle
Serve as the RTX POC for sustainability and governance activities associated with ESG, CSRD, and other related activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering (advanced degree preferred) or a related field with 10 years of related work experience
8+ years of experience in technical disciplines relevant to aerospace and defense with focus on impact to product safety
Proven experience working with and assessing European and other applicable global regulatory requirements
Executive presence and influence – Proven experience working directly with executive and senior leaders

Proven strategy-to-execution experience translating direction into roadmaps, operating rhythms, and measurable outcomes in a dynamic, complex enterprise
Strong program management skills managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making
Change leadership and continuous improvement mindset able to simplify processes, improve operating models, and drive adoption
Operational grit and follow-through able to push through obstacles and deliver outcomes on schedule
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional and business boundaries
Experience with assessing and mitigating risks while leading innovation and SMS process excellence
Aviation safety regulatory and accident investigation knowledge
Skilled in working with Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and information systems
Experience in using continuous improvement tools (CORE, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
