Accounts Payable Clerk
Connect Housing Blocks is building the future of modular construction in Columbus. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing all accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate processing of invoices and vendor payments while maintaining strong internal controls.
Construction
Responsibilities
Process high-volume accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and entry into QuickBooks
Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation, resolving discrepancies as needed
Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
Maintain accurate vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely, professional manner
Reconcile accounts payable subledger to the general ledger
Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
Maintain organized digital and physical AP files and supporting documentation
Support compliance with company policies and basic accounting controls
Assist with audits by gathering AP documentation and responding to requests
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate expense tracking and approvals
Perform other accounting, administrative, or finance-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience using QuickBooks required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, sorting, and reconciliation)
Preferred
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
1–3 years of accounts payable experience preferred
