Granulation Team Leader

Responsibilities

Lead workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks
Manage inter-departmental transport of materials
Lead day to day granulation operations to meet production goals
Provide direction, coaching, and support to team members for safe and effective performance
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Monitor and record departmental metrics accurately using Excel and online databases
Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with product and process standards
Oversee proper processing, separation, staging, and material flow using FIFO principles
Identify training needs and support team skill development
Contribute to the development and improvement of processes and procedures
Maintain compliance with internal documentation, ISO standards, and operational requirements
A Level II Team Leader has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day-to-day operations of the group
Typically reports to a Manager or Department Head

Required

Thorough knowledge of the functional area under supervision
Typically requires three years of experience in a related area as an individual contributor
Proven leadership or team lead experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment
Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods up to eight hours
Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and repetitive motion
Ability to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment
Employment in this position requires compliance with NAID and ITAR regulations. Candidates must meet all applicable compliance criteria to be eligible for employment

Preferred

May require a bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience in manufacturing, recycling, or material recovery preferred
Forklift experience a plus
