Responsibilities
Operate Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) and LC-MS/MS instruments for confirmatory testing
Perform confirmatory analysis for all non-negative test results in compliance with SAMHSA mandatory guidelines
Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal laboratory SOPs
Conduct quality control (QC) testing and documentation to ensure data integrity and accuracy
Review, document, and report test results in accordance with established protocols
Maintain laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and work areas in compliance with safety and quality standards
Support ongoing laboratory operations during assigned shifts
Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure timely and accurate testing
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
Experience or academic exposure to analytical laboratory techniques
Ability to work overnight and weekend shifts as required by the schedule
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow regulated procedures
Ability to work fully onsite in a laboratory environment
Preferred
Prior experience with GC/MS or LC-MS/MS instrumentation
Experience working in regulated laboratory environments (SAMHSA, CLIA, CAP, or similar)
Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation practices
