Responsibilities
Research and identify potential new suppliers
Communicate with vendors to get product information and negotiate prices
Track order status and resolve any issues with deliveries and discrepancies
Assist in creating and processing purchase orders
Review and compare supplier quotes and proposals
Help with data analysis and spend analysis to find cost-saving opportunities
Contribute to preparing reports on procurement activities and supplier performance
Work with other departments like finance and logistics to coordinate needs
Support the Purchasing Team by participating in meetings and providing administrative assistance
Assist with market research to stay informed about industry needs
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma
Currently Attending a College or University
Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology
Preferred
Academic performance and career interest in Procurement management preferred
Open to learning and exploring procurement in a manufacturing setting
