INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST I
The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest State departments in California, dedicated to connecting job seekers and employers. They are seeking an Information Technology Specialist I to provide mainframe batch processing oversight and develop automation scripts for mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities
Provides mainframe batch processing oversight and resolves mainframe production batch abends
Develops and tests complex Enterprise Scheduling Platform (ESP) coding to schedule and run EDD's mainframe production processing
Analyzes, troubleshoots, ESP scheduling errors, and other batch-related issues
Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts using UFT One or other relevant tools to monitor the availability and performance of EDD's mission-critical systems in a 24/7 operational environment
Qualification
Required
Mainframe batch processing oversight experience
Ability to resolve mainframe production batch abends
Experience developing and testing complex Enterprise Scheduling Platform (ESP) coding
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot ESP scheduling errors and other batch-related issues
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts using UFT One or other relevant tools
Ability to monitor the availability and performance of mission-critical systems in a 24/7 operational environment
