Responsibilities
Process payroll cycles, including timecard validation, exception resolution, and approvals
Maintain time and attendance workflows and ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations
Set up and update employee records for new hires, transfers, and terminations
Administer earnings, deductions, and garnishments in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
Perform payroll audits and reconcile data to ensure accuracy before release
Prepare journal entries and assist with payroll-related general ledger reconciliations
Support tax compliance activities, including quarterly and year-end reporting
Generate and analyze payroll and HR reports as needed
Document processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy
Assist with workers' compensation reporting and other employment-related documentation
Respond to employee inquiries and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Participate in system updates and integrations related to payroll and HR functions
Provide backup support and assist with special projects as required
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred; Payroll certification a plus
5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state processing
Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar) and MS Excel
Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and wage and hour laws
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and customer service skills
