Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for conducting research in High Temperature Superconducting magnet technology driving the highest possible fields with superconducting magnets, a core mission of the MagLab, as well as important for the fusion industry and medical imaging sectors
Duties will include the continuation of our successful Litle Big Coil program which recently set a world record DC field of 48.7 Tesla
More specifically, this position will be responsible for modeling electromechanical properties of conductors and coils, as well as building and testing those coils under extreme operating conditions near or at their failure points
