Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and prepare equipment for new sensor deployments
Maintain, inspect, and improve currently operating sensor infrastructure
Develop, refine, and document procedures for deployment and installation operations
Create clear documentation and how-to materials for installation and maintenance processes
Communicate instructions, timelines, and operational expectations to internal and on-site team members
Perform system installations, including hardware assembly and RF connections, on masts, rooftops, towers, and other infrastructure
Conduct rooftop, tower, and climbing work while adhering to all safety standards and guidelines
Lift, haul, and position heavy equipment at installation sites
Create cable penetrations, pull cable, and troubleshoot electrical and network connections
Troubleshoot unexpected installation issues using creative problem-solving and effective communication with internal teams and external partners
Represent SkySafe professionally and maintain strong working relationships with customers, partners, and site stakeholders
Support R&D engineering efforts with field deployments, testing, and feedback as requested
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, wear appropriate PPE, and ensure safety guidelines are followed by all team members
Serve as a subject matter expert for infrastructure operations and deployment best practices
Complete all required documentation, training, and compliance activities
Perform Part 107 drone operations in accordance with all FAA guidelines
Maintain the FAA Drone Zone Database

Required

4+ years of experience in a field technician lead, infrastructure operations, or manufacturing lead role
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn, troubleshoot, and explain equipment setup and operation
Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and safety
Ability and willingness to work at heights and in varied outdoor environments
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Eligibility to access technology, materials, software, or hardware controlled by U.S. export laws (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for U.S. Government export license approval)

Preferred

Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred
Experience with outdoor RF, telecommunications, networking, or similar technical equipment preferred
Experience working in technology-related industries preferred
Willingness to travel 50–75%
Certifications or willingness to obtain certifications in MEWP, tower climbing, rigging, or related work environments (SkySafe will fund required certifications)
Prior experience with large-scale sensor deployments or infrastructure rollouts
Familiarity with safety compliance programs and field operations best practices
Experience supporting R&D or pilot deployments in the field
