PS Research Assistant/Analyst
University of Utah Health Research is seeking a Research Assistant to join the Division of Epidemiology’s Program for Addiction Research, Clinical Care, Knowledge and Advocacy (PARCKA). This role involves conducting assessments, maintaining study compliance, and interacting with study participants to collect data.

Responsibilities
Performing any other related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor
Proactively contact enrolled participants at designated time points and complete structured assessments over the phone
Maintain study blinding to participants’ randomized arm
Accurately document interactions and ensure compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements
May be required to obtain a notary license and notarize study-related forms
May travel to a variety of sites both within and outside the University campus to obtain data
Evaluates questionnaires for accuracy and completeness, reviews questionnaires against source documents and edits as needed. Contacts study participants by phone to verify data
Conduct safety and mental-health screenings with study participants and complete all required documentation and follow-up procedures
Ensure documents are provided according to established timelines
Answer participant queries and maintain research records in compliance with regulations
Evaluates questionnaires for accuracy and completeness, reviews questionnaires against source documents and edits as needed. Contacts study participants by phone to verify data
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a Social or Behavioral Science, Liberal Arts, or a field related to the area of research, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience)
one year of experience in research and analytical techniques
demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience
demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred
Prior experience with qualitative research is desirable though not a requirement
