Commercial Landscape Account Manager
McFarlin Stanford is seeking a Commercial Landscape Account Manager to lead the launch and growth of their Commercial Maintenance & Enhancement Division. This role involves business development, client relationship management, and operational oversight for commercial landscape maintenance and snow removal services.
Responsibilities
Lead the establishment and ongoing management of the Commercial Maintenance & Enhancement Division
Partner with the Operations Manager and Supervisors to ensure successful execution of maintenance and snow services
Develop and implement operational systems, pricing structures, and workflow processes
Collaborate with leadership to achieve annual revenue, margin, and quality targets
Champion recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of field personnel
Uphold company Core Values and ensure Company brand standards are consistently represented
Prospect, qualify, and close new commercial maintenance, enhancement, and snow contracts
Prepare accurate and timely proposals, renewals, and service agreements
Exceed annual sales goals through disciplined pipeline management and relationship building
Represent Company professionally at client meetings, networking events, and site visits
Identify and sell enhancement opportunities including, but not limited to, mulch, planting, seasonal color, irrigation, turf care, repairs, and hardscape services
Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned commercial accounts
Ensure client satisfaction through regular inspections, proactive communication, and prompt issue resolution
Manage an annual portfolio of approximately:
$750K+ in maintenance contracts
$375K+ in enhancement services
$500K+ in snow services
Oversee contract renewals, billing accuracy, and payment follow-up
Identify opportunities for upselling, service improvements, and long-term client retention
Support scheduling and execution of maintenance, enhancement, and seasonal services
Conduct pre-service site inspections and provide clear scope and task direction to crews
Perform post-service quality inspections to ensure company standards are met
Assist with material procurement, equipment readiness, and crew support
Maintain accountability for labor productivity, job cost control, and safety compliance
Ensure company vehicles, yard, and equipment are organized, safe, and operational
Train and reinforce company policies, procedures, and culture of excellence within field teams
Ensure snow service expectations are clearly communicated to operations and field teams
Oversee assigned snow routes and support seasonal snow operations
Coordinate staffing, equipment logistics, and route efficiency during snow events
Serve as an on-call leader during storm operations, including plowing, salting, and de-icing
Conduct pre- and post-storm site audits and communicate findings to the Operations Manager
Manage snow billing, service documentation, and client communications throughout the season
Partner with leadership to develop scorecards, KPIs, and performance reporting
Support marketing initiatives, client communications, and industry engagement
Continuously assess division performance and recommend process and profitability improvements

Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance and account management
Proven success managing $750K+ in annual contract revenue
Strong knowledge of horticulture, seasonal maintenance operations, and snow management
High level of organization, professionalism, and client service aptitude
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and industry software (Aspire, Property Intel, or equivalent)
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Availability for flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and snow events
Positive, driven mindset with a strong desire to build and grow a new division
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Business, or a related field
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Experience with Aspire, Property Intel, Ninety.io, and EOS (L10 meetings)
Strong presentation, negotiation, and high-value contract closing skills
