Responsibilities

Communicates with internal sales team during the design phase of the project

Interprets order entry forms and preliminary drawings to determine project scope

Coordinates with Engineering team and understands the structural calculations

Creates 3D models for basic steel-framed structures and roofing systems with Inventor

Accurately develops Submittal Drawings based on the Inventor models

Accurately develops Installation Drawings based on the Inventor models

Processes revisions to submittal and fabrication drawings

Reviews the work of others and provides constructive mark-ups

Performs other related duties as required

Coordinates with Engineering team and understand the structural calculations

Reviews 3D models created by modelling team for completeness

Creates fabrication prints based on the 3D model

Transfers project BOMs through ProFile to Epicor

Creates anchor bolt drawings and releases anchor bolt packages in Epicor

Processes revisions to fabrication drawings

Processes print releases to the shop

Performs other related duties as required

Qualification

AutoDesk InventorAutoCADSolidworksMS ExcelMS WordMS PowerPointMS AccessCAD/Design SoftwareModeling/Detailing ProceduresSelf-motivatedFast-paced environment

Required

High School Diploma and proven experience with CAD/Design Software minimally required

Demonstrated proficiency with AutoDesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD and/or Solidworks

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access

Knowledge in modelling/detailing procedures

Capable of working in a fast-paced production environment

Highly self-motivated to take action and keep projects moving forward

Preferred

Associate's Degree or engineering technology degree preferred
