Responsibilities
Act as a technical expert for project engineers and design engineers
Stay up to date with standards and help the team stay up to date
Do technical deep dives where needed
Assist with product certifications
Perform VD calculations and provide recommendations for maintaining system efficiency and compliance
Conduct technical writing of white papers, training presentations and technical guides
Assist with internal technical trainings
Review CAD drawings for accuracy and alignment with project requirements, ensuring technical precision
Evaluate PV wire and cable quotes to confirm feasibility and cost-effectiveness
Deliver engaging technical presentations to clients and internal teams, including visuals (3D models, VR simulations, and installation diagrams)
Lead discussions to clarify design intent, pre-construction methodologies, and system specifications
Act as a liaison between the design team and sales team, ensuring communication and alignment on project goals
Work with quality field teams to evaluate and address design-related challenges, providing insights and recommendations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering a related field (or equivalent work experience)
7+ years in design, engineering, or technical solutions within the PV or electrical industry
Extensive knowledge of NEC and PV systems, with familiarity in EBOS design (PV harnesses, DC feeders, MV cables)
Expertise in electrical codes and PV system design principles
Strong understanding of EBOS components and their integration in renewable energy systems
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst) and in-house data management software
Ability to read and interpret construction plan sets, single-line diagrams, and other technical documents
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deliver effective in-person presentations to stakeholders
Preferred
Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and NETA standards
A candidate fluent in Mandarin is not a requirement but is highly desirable
