The role involves building automated systems for podcast payout calculations, performing analytics on advertising revenue, and providing insights to stakeholders within the Finance organization.

Responsibilities
Work with a cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, and finance representatives to define and test requirements for enhancing revenue recognition systems and data products
Develop systems, datasets, and processes to support the ingestion, analysis, and reporting of advertising delivery, revenue, and cost data
Support ad-hoc requests from various internal teams (Accounting, Legal, Licensing, Financial Planning, etc) as well as external podcast publishers that require analysis of advertising data and systems
Continuously innovate on how we produce insights by leveraging AI tools
Collaborate with a group of highly motivated individuals who are passionate about Spotify’s success
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in data analytics, ideally with experience in financial data analysis
Skilled in translating complex data into actionable insights for partners
Able to own and solve complex business problems with data
Fluent in SQL, Python, and data pipelining tools like dbt
Experienced with visualization tools like Tableau and Looker Studio
Able to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams to understand problems and articulate proposed solutions
Have experience performing testing and validation of datasets and outputs created by other teams or members of your team
Have a background with both finance and technical experience, with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline
