Responsibilities
Seeking a backend engineer with a strong foundation in GenAI
This candidate will work side-by-side with data scientists and backend engineers to build, tune, and instrument core infrastructural components of our GenAI ecosystem, specifically storage, hybrid indexing and search components to organize a multi-modal library of images and documents used daily by trend researchers within the company

Strong knowledge of emerging GenAI patterns, frameworks and use-cases
5+ years of relevant industry experience
Ability to work in a highly collaborative Agile engineering environment is essential to success in this role
Fluency in Python and attendant ecosystem
Experience with PostgreSQL, Open/Elasticsearch, Object Storage (S3/etc.)
Experience building systems and infrastructure to clean, tag, and indexing data for consumption by GenAI systems
Experience building applications in a containerized environment
Strong knowledge of emerging GenAI patterns, frameworks and use-cases
LangGraph/LangChain/Google GenAI/etc
Context Engineering / RAG / Agentic AI
Knowledge of existing commercial AI ecosystem (Gemini/ChatGPT/etc.)
Experience building programmatic workflows targeting GenAI APIs or toolchains
Preferred
knowledge/experience with vector databases
