Manufacturing Design Engineer
Wedi Corporation is seeking a dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Design Engineer to join their team and drive excellence in manufacturing process development and product design. The Design Engineer will develop, improve, and optimize products and production processes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.

Responsibilities
Develop and refine product designs using CAD (Autodesk Suite) tools to meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements for building-material products
Ensure designs align with plant capabilities, equipment constraints, and material properties
Collaborate with quality, supply chain, manufacturing engineering and production teams to support product launches, and improvements to ensure seamless transition from design to manufacturing
Conduct feasibility studies, tolerance analyses, and design validations
Evaluate GD & T requirements of new and existing designs for product compatibility and function
Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, technical data sheets and specifications
Support root‑cause analysis for design‑related production issues
Manage, maintain, and create part data within the company’s ERP system to ensure accurate part numbers, BOM structures and optimization of components for documentation
Evaluate materials and components for suitability, cost, and performance
Coordinate with suppliers on custom parts, manufacturability feedback, and design changes
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality systems
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or design engineering, OR PROVEN equivalent work experience and relevant training in new product design
Experience with the design process of new products from initial concept to production launch is a plus
Proficient in 2D and 3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, etc). (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
