The Financial Modeling Analyst will support the development of financial and operational models, manage analytics needs, and optimize existing models while ensuring data quality across the organization.

Responsibilities

Obtains and prepares data to meet analytics and modeling needs from stakeholders across the NCF network

Captures necessary data and applies data analysis techniques to deliver required analytics to meet organizational needs

Incorporates best practices to builds scalable and extensible models

Maintains comprehensive documentation of work including assumptions, data sources, transformations and known limitations

Develops understanding of the business context of requests

Supports the design and approach for successful delivery of solutions

Contributes to the quality of delivered solutions

Gathers and incorporates stakeholder feedback to refine and improve solutions

Applies technical solutions and industry best practices to streamline replication of existing analytics deliverables

Identifies and pursues opportunities to improve data quality and data stewardship across the enterprise

Cultivates an ethos of continuous improvement within the team and throughout the organization

Gains comprehensive knowledge of data flows across current information systems, data, models, and analytics assets

Acquires comprehensive awareness of current state data quality issues

Develops and maintains strong working relationships with adjacent data management teams and other members of the team

Assists with projects as assigned

Required

A Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, business analytics, industrial engineering, or finance is required

Minimum of 2 - 5 years' progressive experience in modeling and data analytics with demonstrated ability to translate business needs into scalable, well-documented analytics solutions and continuously improve data quality and modeling practices

Experience building and maintaining financial and analytical models in a cross-functional environment is helpful

Proven aptitude for “real time” problem diagnosis and solving

Able to perform duties independently

High familiarity with basic ERP systems, statistical modeling software and methods, data transformation and management, and data visualization required

Fundamental knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles required

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required

Strong attention to detail, perform duties with high level of accuracy

Consultative approach in determining business needs based on interactions with key stakeholders

Ability to articulate findings in terms understandable by key stakeholders

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
