Wealth Strategy Consultant

Generational Wealth Advisors, a registered investment advisory firm and part of the broader Generational Group, is seeking an experienced Wealth Strategy Consultant to convert qualified M&A clients into wealth management relationships. The role focuses on consultative sales, leading structured client conversations, and securing client engagement while collaborating closely with internal teams.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery and pitch conversations with M&A clients to introduce Generational Wealth Advisors’ pre-sale planning and wealth management services
Clearly communicate the value of integrated personal financial planning as part of the broader M&A journey
Guide prospects through a consultative sales process from initial conversation through commitment
Maintain consistent follow-up and momentum throughout the sales cycle to drive close rates
Execute clean, professional handoffs to Wealth Advisors after engagement is secured
Operate within Generational’s established sales and client-conversion framework
Provide feedback and insights to improve messaging, process efficiency, and close rates
Identify common client concerns or objections and refine positioning accordingly
Partner with internal teams to align timing and messaging with key M&A milestones
Work closely with M&A front-end and deal teams to identify appropriate timing and opportunities for wealth management conversations
Coordinate with internal advisors, CPAs, and attorneys to ensure a seamless client experience
Translate complex financial, tax, and estate planning concepts into clear, actionable discussions focused on client outcomes
Represent Generational Wealth Advisors professionally in client meetings, both in-office and on-site with prospects
Reinforce Generational’s reputation for thoughtful planning, integrity, and client-first advice
Support broader growth initiatives through consistent, high-quality client interactions

Required

Finance background or significant experience in client-facing advisory sales
Professional services sales (wealth management, accounting, consulting, law, banking)
Proven ability to close complex, high-trust engagements
Comfort leading conversations with business owners and high-net-worth clients
Strong executive presence and ability to build credibility quickly
Excellent communication, active listening, and objection-handling skills

Preferred

Experience working with closely held businesses
Experience with liquidity events or pre-transaction planning
Experience with complex financial decision-making
Ability to operate confidently within a structured sales process
Team-oriented mindset with comfort handing clients off post-close
Alignment with Generational's values-based, stewardship-focused philosophy
