Responsibilities

Perform technical research and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions
Establish, document, and educate others on Apple-wide accounting policies
Support cross-functional implementation of new accounting policies, serving as the accounting subject matter expert
Participate in close-related accounting reviews and analyses

Required

7 years of progressive experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
CPA or equivalent

Preferred

8-9 years of progressive experience from public accounting and/or large public companies, preferably focused on the technology industry
Experience with U.S. GAAP technical research and analysis for a broad range of accounting topics, including inventory, fixed assets, consolidation, contingencies, revenue recognition and software capitalization. IFRS experience a plus
Ability to perform technical research on complex matters and effectively communicate accounting issues to business partners, ensuring that relevant accounting issues are identified, debated, and resolved
Excellent documentation skills—clear, concise, detailed, and accurate
Strong ability to explain technical concepts and articulate your expert opinion at all levels within Apple
Strong ability to build relationships and work directly with senior executives
