Responsibilities
Work on a variety of components ranging from low voltage control systems to medium and high voltage switchgear and substation components
Using meters and other specialized test equipment to test electrical components and systems
Developing and executing simple to complex troubleshooting of problems and faults
Developing and executing repair plans
Performing maintenance and calibration of electrical components, instrumentation and control systems and documenting results
Working with operating personnel to develop and implement Lockout/Tagout Plans
Working with operating personnel to develop and implement safety plans and job briefs
Executing planned upgrades of equipment and commissioning including point to point verification and operational testing
Perform installation of new equipment
Qualification
Required
4 years' experience as an electrician
3 years' experience as an industrial electrical technician or equivalent military experience
Must be able to perform physical work in a power or industrial facility including wearing appropriate PPE, standing, kneeling, use of ladders both inside and outside structures
Must possess high aptitude in print reading
Must have experience working with DC systems
Must have experience working with Plc systems
Must have experience working with Medium and high voltage switchgear, breakers, transformers, CTs and PTs
Must have experience working with Protective relays and relay testing
Must have experience working with Generators
Must have experience working with Excitation equipment
Must have experience working with Motor control centers
Must have experience working with Variable Frequency Drives
US work authorization
HS diploma
Journeyman / Master Electrical License, or Electrical Technology or Engineering degree
Valid Driver's license and safe work history
Willingness to travel
Willingness to work overtime
