Senior Associate General Counsel

They are seeking a Senior Associate General Counsel to conduct legal research, provide legal advice on complex topics, assist with rulemaking activities, and support compliance with state and federal laws.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Conduct legal research, writing, and analysis and provide legal advice to the Department on various complex and/or novel topics within the Department, including but not limited to, the Department’s Paid Family and Medical Leave and Broadband Divisions
Assist with the Department’s rulemaking activities
Assist with the Department’s complex and/or high-profile data practices activities including privacy and security incident analysis
Provide the Department with legal expertise to support the Department’s compliance with state and federal laws
Monitor litigation involving the Department to coordinate litigation-related information and activities

Required

Three (3) years of legal experience as a practicing attorney which must include conducting legal research, writing, and analysis. Judicial clerkship experience will count towards this criteria
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Minnesota and current with continuing legal education requirements
Experience providing legal advice to senior management or executives
