Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end delivery of data governance initiatives, including the implementation of Atlan data catalog, metadata management, data quality management, sensitive data management and more
Develop detailed project plans and roadmaps for priority domains, ensuring alignment with the Data Council’s strategic goals
Act as the primary coordinator for Data Stewards and executive leadership, facilitating meetings and ensuring clear communication across business and IT teams
Identify data-related risks and ensure all projects adhere to regulatory requirements (such as GLBA, FCRA, and ECOA) and internal governance standards
Coordinate and track the execution of AI-related governance tasks, ensuring explainability and quality standards are met for machine learning models
Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and maturity metrics to senior leadership to demonstrate program value and progress
Qualification
Required
10+ years in project management, with at least 5 years specifically leading Data Governance, Data Quality, or Master Data Management (MDM) projects
PMP or equivalent required
Expertise in JIRA, MS Project, or Smartsheet
Exceptional leadership, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to influence without authority
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
10+ years of professional project management experience
Preferred
Agile/Scrum and Data Management (CDMP) certifications preferred
Familiarity with Data Catalog tools (Atlan, Alation, Collibra) is a significant plus
Experience in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) or highly regulated lending environments
