Responsibilities

Leading and mentoring a team of 3–6 software engineers while remaining deeply hands-on
Designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend systems in Java
Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering leads to shape technical direction
Owning architecture decisions for complex, distributed systems from greenfield through production
Helping drive engineering best practices, code quality, and team engagement
Playing a key role in hiring and growing the engineering organization

Qualification

Capital markets technologyJava server-side developmentSpring BootCloud experience (AWS)Microservices architecturesTeam leadershipCommunicatorBuilder’s mindset

Required

Strong background in capital markets technology (derivatives, securities, OMS, portfolio systems, etc.)
5+ years of Java server-side development experience
Production experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Kafka, PostgreSQL
Cloud experience (AWS) and modern microservices architectures
Prior experience leading small engineering teams
Comfort working across the full stack (React / Node exposure a plus)
Strong communicator with a builder's mindset and ownership mentality
