The Senior Financial Accountant will own the month-end and year-end process, perform account reconciliations, and assist with various financial reporting and auditing tasks.

Responsibilities
Own the month-end and year end process from start to finish, closing financial reporting within five days
Perform monthly account reconciliations for the balance sheet
Prepare the monthly financial reporting package and associated financial schedules
Assist with carbon and environmental reporting requirements
Assist with the external auditors and their requests
Perform variance analysis and seek explanations
Lead investigations to identify root cause to issues and recommend counter measures
Lead and co-lead projects to enhance internal controls and processes
Assist in the preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts
Assist in coaching and developing team members
Preparation of ad-hoc reports and analysis for management
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting & Economics
3+ years of work experience in accounting roles preferably in logistics
Must have a continuous improvement mindset
Strong humility: Be authentic, hands-on, who can roll up his/her sleeves and work in a fast-paced environment
Integrity and Values: A growth-oriented professional with a focus on honesty, integrity and a clear sense of ethical decision-making
Self-starter: Must possess a high degree of enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity to educate her/himself and quickly get up to speed independently
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to coordinate and manage simultaneous projects within set deadlines
Preferred
CPA highly desirable but not essential
Use of Great Plains is a plus
OneStream experience is a plus
