Springer Nature is one of the leading publishers of research in the world, and they are seeking an ambitious science reporter for a July - December internship. The role involves covering cutting-edge science news and writing for both the website and print magazine, with opportunities to pitch stories and write features.

Cover cutting-edge science, as well as activities at US science agencies
Travel locally for stories as appropriate
Write for both the website and print magazine
Initially, interns will be assigned stories, but ideally, they will eventually pitch their own

Qualification

Required

A University degree in a relevant subject
Capable of working in a deadline-driven environment
Contributes to an inclusive, collegial work environment

Preferred

Background in science preferred, but not required (applicants who have published science journalism articles previously or completed a science writing/journalism programme will be weighted more heavily)
