Responsibilities

Responsible for Inflight Policies and Procedures both Internationally and domestically
Serves as an advocate for the flight attendants and customers while building relationships with internal business partners including: Marketing, Fleet Planning, Revenue Management, Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Maintenance, Engineering, Labor, Training Development and Curriculum, and Inflight Dining Services
Participates in frontline initiatives across all AA base operations and is a supportive team player with colleagues

Subject matter expert on all aspects of the flight attendant and customer experience — leveraging unique expertise in the flight attendant workspace and needs onboard the aircraft while remaining aligned with Marketing initiatives that ensure a connected and consistent customer experience onboard
Subject matter expertise on all aspects of the Inflight Manual (IFM) and how AA policies and procedures align with Federal Aviation Regulations
Build trusted relationships within all areas of the Marketing and Customer Experience organizations, as well as Maintenance, Fleet Planning, Network Planning and Inflight Training organization
Develops, streamlines and maintains the IFM with a goal of making it progressively more readable, usable, and improving both FA understanding and adherence
Engage frontline team members by leading a unique group of Special Assignment Flight Attendants for continuous alignment with the onboard customer experience as well as aircraft interiors
Continuous engagement of flight attendants and flight service leaders
Partnership with Training and Safety to ensure all aircraft and customer experience elements are carefully balanced across new and emerging risks, as well as fundamental skills, are reinforced and nuanced to ensure effective compliance
Develop meaningful engagement and relationships with Crew Managers and FAs
Knowledgeable of Flight Operations, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Inflight Training, Aircraft Appearance, and Marketing when developing new service procedures and general policies
Alignment across all areas of Inflight, including Daily Operations at the IOC, Labor, Inflight Dining Services, Technology, base operations and flight service leadership
Frequently performs other duties and special projects, as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training
3+ years of related experience
Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal
Strong analytical skills for research and data collection
Demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple, concurrent projects and meet strict deadlines while balancing workload with minimal supervision
Experience with technical manual publications or in other communications-related field

Preferred

Knowledge of and experience with Inflight or other operational policies and procedures
Airline experience
