Staff Assistant
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Staff Assistant for the Finance & Administration Cabinet. This role involves serving as chief administrative support to the Executive Director, focusing on budget development, analysis, and policy management while supervising budget analysts and coordinating with other agencies.

Responsibilities
Reviews and analyzes budget and policy issues for FAC and agencies served and prepares recommendations for Executive Director
Conducts budget reviews and impact analysis, evaluates program functions for efficiency and compliance, and identifies needed improvements and budget adjustments
Supervises budget analysts
Serves as a liaison with other agencies on budget coordination and resource planning, and participates in meetings and committees to provide budget analysis and expertise
Prepares, reviews, and monitors operating budgets for multiple agencies. Develops reports to support projections, track expenditures and recommend strategies for cash or allotment shortfalls
Serves as lead for capital projects financial process. Assist with FAC and agencies served preparation and development of Six Year Capital Pan and Biennial Budget Submission
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree
Six years of administrative or management experience
A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience
Additional administrative, management, or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year for year basis
