Responsibilities
Serve as the primary owner of Awake’s internal Excel-based quote tool
Maintain, enhance, and refactor complex Excel logic including nested formulas, lookup structures, conditional logic, and inter-sheet dependencies
Implement updates related to:
New products and configurations
Pricing changes and margin adjustments
Product limitations, rules, and warnings
Bill of Material Updates
Feature enhancements and usability improvements
Ensure version control, testing, and controlled release of updates to Sales
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Awake’s product offerings, configurations, and bill of materials
Translate product, engineering, and manufacturing constraints into enforceable quote logic
Validate pricing outputs against BOM assumptions and cost structures
Partner with Sales to understand quoting challenges, custom deal needs, and workflow gaps
Collaborate with Engineering to confirm feasibility, constraints, and cost impacts
Work closely with Order Processing to support quote overrides and special-case scenarios
Collaborate with Supply Chain to validate new components, confirm pricing accuracy, and ensure parts are approved and ready for ordering prior to BOM release
Partner with the IT QA tester to validate changes to the Excel quote tool prior to release
Develop and execute basic test cases to confirm pricing accuracy, logic integrity, and rule enforcement
Support regression testing when new features, pricing updates, or product changes are introduced
Assist in identifying defects, edge cases, and unintended logic conflicts
Perform and document manual quote overrides for approved custom sales requests
Ensure overrides align with engineering intent, pricing strategy, and operational feasibility
Provide timely support to Sales on complex or non-standard quotes
Document business, pricing, and configuration requirements for the customer-facing online quoting platform (Soft Tech V6 Dealer platform)
Act as a subject-matter expert and internal liaison to the in-house developer and external software provider
Help translate Excel-based logic into system-ready requirements
Maintain clear documentation of quote logic, assumptions, and known limitations
Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, or improve quoting workflows
Qualification
Required
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, lookups, conditional logic, and multi-sheet models
Experience owning and maintaining complex Excel-based tools or pricing/financial models
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured, testable logic
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience with pricing, quoting, CPQ, or sales operations systems
Background in manufacturing, engineered products, or configurable products
Familiarity with BOM structures and cost rollups
Experience documenting system requirements for software development
Exposure to ERP, CPQ, or dealer quoting platforms
