Responsibilities

Design, build, configure, and test security-focused systems and network environments
Independently develop and validate test networks or system prototypes, including equipment setup, testing, and test report contributions
Perform security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and certification activities in support of system accreditation (C&A / RMF)
Apply Common Criteria–aligned assurance methods and FIPS 140 requirements to validate security controls
Develop and execute security testing techniques to identify weaknesses and verify system assurance
Gather and analyze technical information related to mission requirements, system designs, and existing security products
Evaluate end-to-end systems and provide actionable feedback to design and engineering teams throughout the system life cycle
Participate in hardware and software design reviews to ensure requirements traceability and security compliance
Review test plans and procedures to ensure proper verification and validation of security requirements
Research and assess technical performance of software and system components
Develop analytical procedures to address evolving security and mission requirements
Produce high-quality technical documentation, assessments, findings, and recommendations for senior U.S. Government stakeholders
Support and mentor junior engineers and specialists as part of an integrated team

Required

Active TS//SCI clearance at the time of application
Minimum experience based on education level: High School Diploma + 10 years of experience, or Associate's Degree + 8 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree + 6 years of experience, or Master's Degree + 4 years of experience
DoD Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification (current)
DoD CSSP Infrastructure Support certification (required within six months of hire)

Preferred

Ability to work independently and as part of integrated engineering teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience developing new technical concepts and processes
Proven ability to analyze root causes and resolve complex issues
Comfortable leading tasks or small projects while supporting broader mission objectives
