Responsibilities
Execute comprehensive analysis and design for residential, multi-family, and retail structures, including specialized retaining wall foundations
Produce precise structural drawings, detailed calculations, and construction specifications
Oversee project controls, including scheduling, budgeting, and cross-discipline coordination
Conduct field observations and provide real-time solutions for onsite construction challenges
Actively train and develop junior engineering staff to maintain high standards of accuracy and responsiveness
Qualification
Required
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
7–10 years of practicing experience
3 years of dedicated Residential Design experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Ability to pursue P.E. licensure in multiple states
Willingness to travel to various project sites
In-depth knowledge of AISC
In-depth knowledge of ACI 318
In-depth knowledge of ASCE 7
In-depth knowledge of IBC
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
Advanced proficiency in Revit
Expert use of industry-standard software such as RAM Structural Systems
Expert use of industry-standard software such as Concept
Expert use of industry-standard software such as RAM Elements
Extensive experience designing with steel
Extensive experience designing with concrete
Extensive experience designing with wood
Extensive experience designing with precast systems
Knowledge of geotechnical disciplines
Knowledge of mechanical disciplines
Knowledge of electrical disciplines
Knowledge of surveying disciplines
Ability to navigate and access active construction areas and job sites
Proficiency in standard office environments, including prolonged computer-based design work
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
Travel up to 50% for client meetings and inspections
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
