Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision: Define and evolve the organization's software engineering strategy to incorporate agentic coding, LLM-based development tools, and AI-assisted workflows. Evaluate and recommend leading vendor solutions (e.g., GitHub Copilot X, Lindy, Cline, Tabnine, Cursor AI) for agentic development
Enablement & Integration: Partner with Infrastructure, Security, and Risk teams to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable integration of agentic coding tools. Lead the enablement of AI-powered development environments, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring frameworks
Evangelism & Coaching: Champion the adoption of agentic coding practices across engineering teams. Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and coaching sessions to upskill developers and technical leads. Establish and execute a comprehensive software literacy program, including hands-on training, self-service resources, and certification pathways to ensure all engineers and technical staff are proficient in modern development tools and agentic AI practices
Governance & Value Tracking: Establish metrics and dashboards to monitor adoption, productivity gains, code quality improvements, and risk mitigation. Ensure robust observability, auditability, and governance across AI-assisted development workflows. Track and report on software literacy progress and enablement outcomes, holding self and teams accountable for closing identified skill gaps
Collaboration & Influence: Work cross-functionally with product, architecture, compliance, and operations teams to align AI development practices with business goals. Represent the organization in external forums, vendor engagements, and industry collaborations related to agentic AI. Regularly assess the effectiveness of enablement efforts through feedback, adoption metrics, and skills assessments, and adjust strategies as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
8+ years in complex software engineering roles, with a strong background in modern development practices and proven experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLflow)
Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or Go
Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Deep understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps, and software lifecycle automation
Familiarity with agentic coding paradigms and tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot Agent Mode, Vibe Coding, autonomous IDE agents)
Strong coaching, mentoring, and change management skills
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Track record of driving cultural and technological transformation
Demonstrated accountability for organization-wide enablement programs, with proven results in raising software literacy and adoption of new engineering practices
Preferred
Experience in financial services or regulated industries
Familiarity with risk, compliance, and data governance frameworks
Exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and multi-agent orchestration
