They are seeking an intern for their Product Support organization within the Sports Medicine and ENT Franchises, where the intern will engage in testing, debugging, and developing electronic circuits for medical products.

Responsibilities
Test, debug, and document hardware used within instrument products
Design, prototype, and develop analog and digital electronic circuits for existing medical products
Coordinate and support electrical safety (IEC 60601-1), safety of HF Surgical Equipment (IEC 60601-2-2) and EMC (IEC 60601-1-2) certification testing
Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of systems defects and enable team to identify fixes
Write and maintain detailed bills of materials, material specifications, and device drawings for a medical device
Identify and test alternate electrical components
Qualification
Required
Must be currently matriculated at an accredited university as an undergraduate majoring in Electrical or equivalent applicable engineering
Must be in excellent academic standing, with a 3.0 preferred
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
High learning agility
Strong written and verbal communication and technical writing skills
Analytical approach to problem solving
Basic understanding and experience with process documentation for use in fabrication and assembly
Proficient in using lab equipment and debugging tools such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer and multimeters
Preferred
Previous applicable intern, co-op, part-time or apprenticeship experience is preferred
Design experience with electrical engineering software packages, OrCAD highly preferable
