Responsibilities
Gather and compile performance data from various sources within the school system
Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular audits and validations
Analyze student performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement
Use statistical methods and software to interpret data and generate insights
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on student performance for stakeholders, including school administrators, teachers, and parents
Develop dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate data findings
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as graduation rates, attendance, and standardized test scores
Work closely with educators and administrators to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights
Work closely with team in the development and presentation of training to stakeholders regarding student achievement data and accountability
Stay updated on state and federal requirements and accountability systems
Attend relevant training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge
Utilize data management and analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and specialized educational software
Maintain and update data systems to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the school system

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in education, data management, computer science, and/or related field with accompanying experience
5 years' related professional experience
Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis, and the formulation of action plans
Knowledge of District policies, procedures, and regulations
Knowledge of testing applications, issues, and effective systems for reporting data to appropriate audiences
Knowledge of Web-based computer applications and the Internet
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, SQL Reporting, Power BI, and Google Looker
Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students
Skill at the advanced level, working with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
Ability to prepare and conduct workshops and make presentations
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive material
Ability to use software to create spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing
Ability to organize and coordinate work
Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written forms
Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work
