Responsibilities

Lead and manage R&D projects throughout all phases of the product development lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget
Collaborate closely with product management, engineering (hardware, software, test), and manufacturing teams from initial planning to production
Work with engineering team to align hardware, software, and test milestones to prevent project bottlenecks
Develop and manage schedules and budgets for all prototype and pilot builds
Work with the Supply Chain team to develop and refine product costing estimates
Ensure effective transition from development to production by serving as the primary engineering project liaison with the Operations group
Provide key project deliverables, updates, and status reports to the management team
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to develop and implement factory readiness plans
Support ongoing product sustaining activities, driving continuous improvement and issue resolution for released products

Required

12+ years of experience working in the network equipment or similar industry
5+ years of experience in product development engineering role (hardware design, embedded software design or system testing)
5+ years of experience in project management role
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Demonstrated project management leadership, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and drive projects to successful completion
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong documentation abilities
Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to drive tasks to timely completion
In-depth knowledge of product development through a structured cycle
Knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOM) structures and release management
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), deviations, and related processes
General knowledge of production build environments, including PCBA, cables, sheet metal, and related manufacturing processes
Experience with project management tools such as MS Project or similar platforms, and Microsoft Office apps

Preferred

Experience with Atlassian tools – Jira and Confluence
