Human Resources Information System Administrator
Marine Layer is a Certified B Corp that designs and manufactures casual apparel and has rapidly expanded its retail presence. The HRIS Systems Administrator will work cross-functionally to manage HRIS and compliance platforms, oversee onboarding processes, and maintain payroll models for over 50 retail locations.

Responsibilities
Assisting our Sr. Retail Finance Associate with maintaining payroll models across our fleet of 50+ stores
Partnering with store managers and Retail People Ops to approve & upload employee timesheets from Deputy to ADP semi-monthly
Owning all new store, manager, and employee onboarding processes, and ensuring their timely compliance
Owning vendor relationships with Deputy and ADP, serving as first point of contact with vendor Customer Success Managers
Managing, auditing, and troubleshooting our HRIS systems, ADP and Deputy, to ensure a seamless employee experience
Organizing & maintaining sensitive employee and financial records with a sense of discretion and adherence to all compliance guidelines
Managing the connection between Deputy and ADP, including uploading timecards for processing; auditing PTO accruals; and ensuring accurate employee information in both platforms
Processing wage & position updates in both our HRIS and within our payroll labor models, including: new hire information, pay changes, data changes, terminations and other confidential employee & financial information
Sharing monthly payroll communications with fleet leaders
Managing & ensuring compliance of the administrative employee onboarding experience into both ADP and Deputy; including executing I9 documentation and auditing
Auditing custom payroll reporting features in Deputy
Updating store Yelp and Google Business hours seasonally to align with payroll models
Owning & auditing mass employee platform uploads in Deputy
First point of contact for fleet employees regarding employee records, payroll communications, and opening troubleshooting tickets with ADP and Deputy
Qualification
Required
1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail leadership or business administration
Bachelor's degree
Experience managing or implementing an HRIS system a MUST!
HR certification a plus!
Preferred
Experience working within ADP Workforce Now and/or Deputy is a HUGE plus!
