Manufacturing Costing Engineer, CNC Operations

Responsibilities

Estimate total costs—labor, material, and services—for machining parts from forgings, castings, and super alloys (Monel, Inconel, Titanium, etc.)
Interpret blueprints/specifications to select efficient manufacturing methods for CNC milling and turning (5-axis experience is a plus)
Collaborate with product design to quote new products and fixtures; apply DFM principles to de-risk builds
Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and ERP routings; coordinate a successful project hand-off to production
Support opportunity negotiations and help close deals; analyze outcomes to identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities

Qualification

CNC machiningCAD/CAM proficiencyGD&TDesign for Manufacturability (DFM)Blueprint reading3D ModelingERP SoftwareCNC ToolingCNC ProgrammingShop math skills

Required

CNC machining background (milling and turning)
CAD/CAM proficiency—Mastercam and Solidworks—and strong 3D modeling ability
Blueprint reading expert with solid GD&T and shop math skills
Manufacturing experience including process development and product design
Comfort with documentation and basic data analysis; ERP familiarity
High School diploma or GED
