Responsibilities
Oversee accounting operations across a highly complex structure of hundreds of entities
Coordinate with private equity fund managers and third-party administrators to obtain financial data and resolve discrepancies
Apply strong accounting knowledge to complex transactions and investment structures
Oversee and review monthly, quarterly, and annual books and records for 300+ partnerships, operating companies and trusts in a fast-paced office environment
Review accounting workpapers prepared for tax return preparation, ensuring technical accuracy and completeness
Train, mentor, and support accounting staff; act as a go-to resource for technical accounting questions
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency across a high-entity-count structure
Ensure proper accounting treatment for complex investments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Strong experience working at a family office or at a large public accounting firm
15+ years accounting experience
Demonstrated strong accounting knowledge in partnership accounting
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, in-office environment
Background in a family office, private equity, real estate, hedge fund, or public accounting setting
Proven experience reviewing workpapers for tax return preparation and coordinating with tax professionals
Experience managing or reviewing accounting for 100+ entities
Preferred
CPA is preferred
