Responsibilities
Serve as a primary liaison for leading advertising agencies and key clients
Support and manage a portfolio of established house advertising accounts
Ensure timely, professional, and accurate communication with advertisers
Manage digital ad clerking and reporting for web-based advertising campaigns
Manage weekly deposits and oversee monthly invoicing and client statements
Monitor billing accuracy and proactively identify and resolve discrepancies
Maintain organized, reliable systems that support clean and transparent financial operations
Handle obituary sales with empathy, discretion, and professionalism
Support families during sensitive moments with clarity, kindness, and care
Support day-to-day operational workflows that keep the business running smoothly
Help organize and maintain the newspaper’s historical archives and business records
Qualification
Required
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
Clear, thoughtful communicator — both written and verbal
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong customer-service mindset, particularly in emotionally sensitive situations
Proficiency with digital systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
Preferred
Experience in sales support, billing, operations, or media environments preferred
