Responsibilities
Take ownership of a varied caseload, managing all procedural requirements from initial responsive pleadings through trial preparation
Draft and argue substantive motions, including summary judgment and discovery-related briefs, in Massachusetts state and federal courts
Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and coordinate with technical experts for complex litigation matters
Assist lead counsel in trial preparation, including witness prep, exhibit management, and courtroom advocacy
Provide clear, strategic updates to clients and insurance carriers, ensuring a high level of professional service
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of prior civil litigation experience
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Active member in good standing of the Massachusetts State Bar
Strong foundation in court rules, legal research (Westlaw/Lexis), and a proven ability to draft high-quality legal memoranda
A self-motivated professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, in-office legal environment
Preferred
Defense-side experience is highly preferred
