Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available web application architectures on AWS
Define and document application blueprints, system components, and integration patterns for web platforms
Architect multi-tier and microservices-based applications using AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, and RDS
Collaborate with development teams to define API strategies, frontend-backend integration models, and deployment pipelines
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK to automate provisioning and deployment
Enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, KMS encryption, WAF configurations, and VPC design for isolation and compliance
Drive CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions, or Jenkins for streamlined and reliable software delivery
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization across compute, network, and storage layers
Set up and maintain monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and third-party tools Datadog
Conduct architecture reviews, proof of concepts (PoCs), and design validation sessions with stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, DevOps, product, and security teams to ensure cohesive solution delivery
Optimize AWS costs through resource right-sizing, reserved instances, and architectural improvements using AWS tools or third-party tool CloudZero
Stay current with emerging AWS technologies, cloud-native trends, and modern web architecture
Qualification
Required
