This role involves partnering closely with a Program Manager to ensure delivery excellence and maintain Agile rigor while translating program objectives into actionable work.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Program Manager, product owners, and engineering leads to decompose program requirements into clear, testable user stories
Facilitate backlog refinement sessions to ensure work is prioritized, properly scoped, and aligned with contractual and program objectives
Maintain backlog integrity, ensuring acceptance criteria, dependencies, and readiness standards are consistently met
Track story progress and ensure accurate, timely updates within approved work management tools
Lead daily standups and Agile ceremonies, ensuring disciplined execution and alignment to sprint goals
Identify impediments and coordinate with cross‑functional partners to drive timely resolution
Promote transparency, accountability, and continuous communication across the team
Reinforce Agile best practices and support a culture of continuous improvement
Prepare and facilitate sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and related Agile events
Support the Program Manager in translating program‑level milestones into achievable sprint‑level plans
Monitor team velocity, capacity, and performance metrics to guide realistic commitments
Track dependencies, risks, and cross‑team impacts, escalating issues as appropriate
Maintain dashboards, burndown charts, and status reports to provide clear visibility to program leadership and stakeholders
Support release readiness activities, including documentation, testing coordination, and compliance with program processes
Ensure alignment with BAE Systems’ engineering, quality, and program management standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 6 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coordinator, or similar role
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and practical delivery experience
Proven ability to facilitate cross‑functional teams and drive disciplined execution
Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, and/or comparable Agile management tools
Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional, and highly technical environment
Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or highly regulated programs
Understanding of systems engineering or software development lifecycles
Ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and influence without authority
Preferred
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) preferred
Experience with Microsoft Azure Environments
Experience with creating reports in Microsoft Power BI
