Responsibilities

Software Engineering: Design and build software to support the RCD project. Participate in entire software lifecycle, including requirements capture, testing, deployment and user support

Technical Documentation: Documenting and presenting technical data for stakeholder review; Articulating and presenting detailed technical arguments when necessary in a manner that is clear, logical and simple

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team of engineers and naval specialists, providing technical support and developing solutions to engineering challenges

Support to client: Maintaining positive, friendly, collaborative relationships with team members, and internal and external stakeholders. Liaison with subject matter experts, DND customers and suppliers

Must obtain a Government of Canada security clearance, which necessitates Canadian citizenship and a minimum of 10 years of continuous residence in Canada

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science

Software development experience (frontend, backend or full stack), particularly with Django (Python), Node.js, Relational Databases, and C++

Skilled in reading, writing, and speaking English, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels (both in-person and electronically) with peers, supervisors, and clients. Capable of drafting reports, technical correspondence, and procedure manuals
