Responsibilities
Develop and maintain quality documentation for new product introduction, including:
Incoming inspection plans
First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation
Audit and inspection plans
Support prototype builds by gaining a full understanding of product design and manufacturing processes from incoming materials through final assembly
Identify critical vs. non-critical characteristics and define appropriate inspection methods
Assist with PFMEA/FMEA development and participate in PDAT processes
Perform incoming material inspections and first article inspections using basic measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
Document production processes and support training of production teams to ensure consistent execution
Support production quality issues by updating documentation and inspection plans as needed once production begins
Collaborate closely with Quality Engineers and fellow Quality Technicians to align quality processes and standards
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of experience in a quality or inspection role with a strong focus on documentation development
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
Experience using basic inspection and measurement tools
Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear, accurate technical documentation
Comfortable working within computerized quality and production systems
Manufacturing background strongly preferred
Preferred
Experience reading electrical schematics
Background supporting new product launches or prototype builds
Familiarity with FMEA, root cause analysis tools, and blueprint quality symbols
Technical school or engineering technology coursework preferred (degree not required)
