Materials Test Technician
Infosoft, Inc. is seeking a Materials Test Technician to support the testing and evaluation of components and materials used in turbine generator applications. This role involves hands-on support in laboratory testing processes and collaboration with the Materials Engineering team.
Responsibilities
Deliver hands-on support for laboratory testing and analysis of materials and components used in rotating electrical generators
This will require hands-on work for sample preparation, test equipment operation, etc
Record and communicate test results, observations, and insights to the Materials Engineering team
Collaborate with the Materials Engineering team to support ongoing engineering projects
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree (or higher) in Engineering technology with a focus on electrical, mechanical, or materials engineering, Chemistry, Applied Physics, or a closely related discipline with a strong focus on materials
Demonstrated interest in materials applications for power generation equipment, particularly rotating electric machinery (generators or motors)
Ability to work independently and work together with the laboratory team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency and expertise in hand skills and hand tools
Proficiency in computer use, including MS-Office applications
Flexibility to work overtime or off-shift hours to support critical projects in both office and factory settings
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
Preferred
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred; candidates with more experience may be considered for advanced roles and vice versa
Fork-truck and crane operation experience and proficiency are also beneficial
