Athletics Business and Finance Specialist
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Athletics Business and Finance Specialist. This role involves supporting the financial operations of the Athletics Department, including reconciliations, budgets, and reporting, while collaborating with various campus departments to enhance athletics programs.

Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing journal entries
Prepare balance sheet and revenue reconciliations, including ticket sales, per-seat contributions, parking, facility rentals, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, etc
Assist with daily deposits of cash/checks and accurate recording of credit card/other sales. Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained for audit purposes and compliance with proper policies and procedures
Prepare, analyze, and send out monthly budget reports for all sports and administrative units
Perform quality control review of all financial transactions and propose correcting entries on a regular basis
Assist with the preparation of annual athletics financial reports for the NCAA, Conference, and University
Review and approve expense reports when requested or required
Assist with the creation and modification of requisitions/purchase orders
Review Accounts Payable activity and work with vendors when necessary to ensure payments are accurate and up to date
Assist with the creation of manuals/job aids for the Athletics Business & Finance Office
Interact internally with Purchasing, Cashier’s Office, Budget, Foundation, and other Campus departments
Assist Athletics CFO in other functions and with other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required
