Program Coordinator and Data Analyst

UCLA is seeking a Program Coordinator and Data Analyst for the Engineering Pathway Program for Community College Students (EPP). This role involves organizing program activities, preparing grant proposals, and driving data-driven decision-making to support the program's success.

Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Director in all aspects to help this new program to succeed
Organize the activities and messaging of the EPP to support its success
Complete and approve transactions for signature by supervisor or other authorized institutional official
Help prepare proposals for grants/contracts that require compelling narratives as well as task budgets, option years, multiple investigators, and multiple sub-awards
Manage, reconcile, forecast, and prepare reports for various accounts (e.g., contracts, grants, gifts, discretionary)
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform our programs and strategies
Collaborate with the Executive Director on proposals and awards of diverse scope where analysis of data requires a thorough understanding of complex regulations

Required

experience in developing and executing programs grant proposals and data reports
able to establish and advance positive working relationships and strong rapport with team members, stakeholders, and industry partners
experience in creating, planning, and organizing events
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Associate's Degree in related area and/ or equivalent experience/training
continuing education in related field

Preferred

3 years working in one or more of the following fields: project management, data analyst, higher education, information technology, or related field
proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g SQL, Pythn, R, Tableau, spss, Stata, Power BI)
experience in complex higher education environments, serving administrative functions of a large public university
experience working in a project-based environment using leading project management practices including schedule management, status reporting, and communication of project risks and issues
Experience working with large datasets and complex data structures
Knowledge of education research and evaluation methodologies is a plus
Bachelor's Degree business administration, education, statistics, mathematics, or a related field
