Responsibilities
Manage the entire life cycle of a program (Program Lifecycle Management – PLM), from initial Concept to Release
Working with Product managers and Engineering program managers to drive the alignment of consistent processes and governance with business constraints and time to market requirements
Utilize the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to create and drive an integrated schedule that tracks progress across different functional teams, including hardware, firmware, software, validation, and manufacturing and manage complex dependencies
Drive technical projects and provide leadership in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. This involves managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to stakeholders
Serve as the central point of communication for the program, providing regular status updates to executives and resolving critical issues that block progress
Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including hardware and software engineers, product managers, manufacturing, and senior leadership, ensuring everyone is aligned on goals and progress
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineering, BIOS/firmware development, thermal engineering, and manufacturing
Lead cross functional teams and drive interlocks across all functions in the value chain including, but not limited to Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Sales Enablement, Marketing and Support
Engage regularly with core team members - developing relationships, sharing best practices, identifying, and managing dependencies, identifying opportunities for improvement, fostering teamwork, and gaining synergies where applicable
As a member of the High-Performance Compute & AI Program Management Office, be an advocate for improvements to all PMO processes. Contribute ideas and improvements to transform to PLM processes
Develop the skills necessary to manage solutions that are a mix of hardware, software, firmware and services
End-to-End Program Leadership: Own and manage the entire lifecycle of complex HPC & AI programs, from initial concept and architectural definition through development, validation, and customer delivery. Define program scope, deliverables, and success metrics
Cross-Functional Execution: Lead and align a diverse team of hardware engineers (silicon, systems, networking), software developers (firmware, OS, AI frameworks), product managers, supply chain experts, and marketing teams. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure seamless execution
Technical Roadmapping & Scheduling: Create and maintain integrated master schedules that track hardware development milestones (e.g., CPU/GPU integration, system design, validation) alongside software release cadences. Identify and manage the critical path and interdependencies
Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identify technical and logistical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage complex dependencies between internal teams and external partners (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, Intel). You're not just tracking risks; you're actively solving them
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the central point of communication for your programs. Clearly and concisely report on status, risks, and decisions to executive leadership and key stakeholders. Translate complex technical issues into clear business impact
Drive Technical Decisions: Leverage your deep technical knowledge of HPC/AI architectures—including accelerators (GPUs), high-speed interconnects, liquid cooling, and system management software—to facilitate technical trade-offs and drive architectural decisions that align with program goals
Manage complex projects following defined PLM process and governance, utilize PDP tools, and implement best practices across each phase of PLM
Create and manage high confidence program schedules with clear dependencies, critical path, and systematic methodology to communicate program status. Manage risks and mitigations, and re-plan as events warrant
Provide clear, timely and objective communication to executive management and other stakeholders
Strengthen core team relationships through collaboration, influence and negotiation. Be able to lead through ambiguity and change
Develop and deliver complete and accurate program materials to facilitate appropriate discussion and drive timely decisions, predictable results, and clear accountability
Drive PLM planning and execution with Business Unit cross functional leads to achieve schedule, scope, and budget program commitments aligned with business and quality targets, process execution and product launch
Proactively identify issues and solutions, and marshal resources necessary to resolve them
Be an agent of change by supporting, applying, and advocating PLM processes and governance requirements
